This is an educational AI assistant in Prof. Pisan's voice, built to help you learn the course material. It can be wrong, so verify anything important against the lectures, and it will not show full homework solutions.
To run the tutor and to improve it for future students, your questions, code, and progress are recorded. If your instructor uses YPDSA for your class, they can see how you are using it and read your conversations for that class. How you use the site is recorded too: which pages, slides, and lectures you open, and for how long. It is a learning tool: it is not used to grade you, and your data is never sold or shared outside the course. Identifiable records are kept for up to one year; after that, all personally identifying information is removed and only anonymized usage data is kept to keep improving the tutor. You may request deletion at any time by emailing pisan@uw.edu. See the course site for the full retention and consent notice.
